Description

Abutilon \nTANGO \nA recently introduced, very fast-growing cultivar of Flowering Maple with mid green lobed leaves sometimes up to 20cm long \nVery floriferous, it carries nodding, bell or lantern shaped burnt orange flowers on its long arching stems from May to November sometimes even later if it’s mild. \nLike all Abutilon Tango needs a well sheltered position, a warm south or west facing wall is very suitable but a courtyard, patio or conservatory is even better. \nDoes best in full sun but will tolerate a little shade. \nVery successful when grown in pots and containers. \nAny reasonable fertile well-drained garden soil is suitable but a good supply of water during the growing season is essential. \nNot a recognised climber but can be trained to grow on a trellis or against a wall. \nIt is advised that Abutilon Tango should only be allowed to remain outside in very mild regions of the U.K. and even then it will still need some winter protection. \n In all other regions of the U.K. it is best grown in pots or containers and moved to a frost free place for the winter months. \nAbutilons respond well to pruning, in fact hard, ruthless pruning is highly recommended and in spring the side shoots can be cut back to 1/3 their length to restrict growth or improve the shape of the plant. \nA gorgeous, semi-evergreen ornamental shrub with a height rarely exceeding 6ft. \nAll pictures used are of mature plants in full bloom and may not necessarily reflect plants at all times of the year. \nA truly stunning new variety. \nOur plants are supplied ex. 8cm pots, they can be planted out immediately but better results will be obtained if they are grown on for a short time in a slightly larger container before transplanting to their final growing positions \nPACK 1 PLANT \nIMMEDIATE \n  \nWhen ordering dates may vary a little if harvest or weather conditions are difficult. \nWe ask all our buyers to remember plants are living items and their appearance changes with the seasons.  Please don’t panic if the plant you receive looks different to the image on the website. This is quite normal and not a matter for any worry or concern, it is likely to be in perfect condition for the time of year. Particularly in autumn and winter many shrubs will lose their leaves and look rather bare, gaunt and stick-like and from August onwards many perennial plants may not even be showing above the soil.\n\n We want you to be happy with your purchase and all our items are checked and inspected visually before packing. at .  . Due to the nature of the goods we cannot accept any responsibility for their failure after planting as pests, disease, poor horticultural practice, extremes of weather and many other factors outside our control all take their toll. . . .
