This locator works with Android and Apple devices. Is there a distance limit? There are no distance restrictions. The product is available worldwide. When any Apple device is within 10-50 meters nearby, the equipment can be located. Is it real-time? When Apple devices are nearby, near real-time positioning can be achieved. The more Apple devices present, the more accurate the positioning becomes. If no Apple devices are in range, positioning will not occur until one becomes available (location updates may take 5 to 15 minutes). What is the working principle? The device sends a secure Bluetooth signal every two seconds. Nearby Apple devices (such as phones, computers, iPads, etc.) receive this signal and upload it to Apple iCloud, which generates location data. Only the owner of the locator can access the location information. More nearby Apple devices result in faster and more accurate updates. Which places are more suitable for use? This product performs best in busy urban areas or locations where many people use Apple devices. Remote areas or locations with few Apple users are not ideal. Please consider your own situation before purchasing. Why is positioning inaccurate? There may be no Apple devices nearby, and it may take 5-15 minutes to update the location. (Bluetooth locators may not be as accurate as GPS, but GPS requires a SIM card, data plan, and frequent charging).
