Initialize a 16-bit register to hexadecimal FFFF, referred to as the CRC register. 2. XOR the first 8 bits of data with the low bits of the CRC register, and store the result back in the CRC register. 3. Right shift the content of the register by one bit (towards the lower order bits), fill the highest bit with 0, and check the lowest bit. 4. If the lowest bit is 0: repeat step 3 (shift again); if the lowest bit is 1: XOR the CRC register with the polynomial A001 (1010 0000 0000 0001). 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for a total of 8 shifts, processing the entire 8 bits of data. 6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 for the next 8 bits of data; the final CRC register obtained is the CRC code (with low byte first and high byte last). Troubleshooting: 1. Incorrect displayed value on the instrument during RS485 output. Possible causes include wiring issues or communicating port faults leading to incorrect data retrieval. Check for proper and secure wiring connections, ensure the communicating port is not in use, and verify the port settings. 2. Instrument display value clearly deviates from actual conditions. The sensor should be regularly inspected to remove dust, dirt, leaves to prevent clogging of the upper tube (funnel) water passage. It is recommended to clean it once a month for long term operating, and it must be cleaned at least every three months. 4. If there is dirt on the inner wall of the hopper, it can be rinsed with water or a detergent solution. Do not use fingers or other objects to wipe it to avoid getting oil or scratching the inner wall. 5. During the winter freezing period, the instrument should not be used and can be brought back indoors.
