What the instrument does
The light guide assembly (Lichtleiter) couples an LED diode holder, a condenser lens and an objective lens in a sleeve connection. The diode holder can rotate and move inside the condenser lens tube; the condenser tube can slide in and out of the objective lens tube to adjust the beam diameter and the sharpness of the spot projected on the white screen.
The complete instrument includes: light guides, light guide frame components, light intensity controller(s), potentiometer knobs, frame legs, light source switches and sockets, light source wiring, white screen(s) and white screen frames.

Beam adjustment: switch on power and light the LED. Adjust the diode holder position and slide the condenser tube within the objective tube until the edge of the projected light spot on the white screen is sharp. Repeat adjustments for each of the three light guides independently.
Intensity: use the potentiometer knobs to fine-tune LED brightness.
