Adjustable 6 Tine Deep Root Weed Rake

Engineered for UK garden conditions, this weeding rake combines a 6-tine carbon steel head with three-section stainless steel extension rods to deliver controlled, deep-root removal without excessive bending. Total weight is approx. 988 g (34.85 oz), and the fully assembled lengths are 83.8 cm (33 in), 119.4 cm (47 in), and 157.5 cm (62 in). All structural components — tines, head plate, and rods — are made from high-strength carbon or stainless steel, with no plastic or welded weak points. Each tine is individually shaped to cut vertically into soil and grip root systems firmly on the pull-back motion. The adjustable rod system uses threaded connections tightened with included nuts and screws — ensuring stability at any length. This design supports both shallow surface clearing and aggressive deep-tine penetration depending on soil density and target weed type. Typical applications include preparing new flower borders, maintaining gravel paths free of moss and bindweed, clearing under mature shrubs where mowers cannot reach, and readying vegetable rows before sowing. It is especially effective on clay-heavy soils common in the Midlands and North, where traditional hand weeding proves inefficient.
