For first use, sterilize the Eureka Cup in boiling water for 4 minutes. Follow the steps: For right-handed users, hold the Eureka Cup by its rim between the index finger and thumb of your left hand. With the pad of your index finger of your right hand, bend the Eureka Cup from any of its four tabs to the deepest point. It will collapse. Remove your index finger without unfolding it, and hold the Eureka Cup with your right hand. Find the most comfortable position for inserting it into your vagina. Separate your vaginal lips with your left hand and insert the Eureka Cup until it is completely inside your vagina (except for the tube). When you remove your fingers, the Eureka Cup will unfold inside your vagina. To help this happen, you can rotate the Eureka Cup until you feel it unfold successfully. You can check by circling the Eureka Cup with your finger. Insert the tube into your vagina, using your fingers, until it is completely vertical. The Eureka Cup will be sealed and ready to enjoy. Emptying: Empty the Eureka Cup at least once every 12 hours. It may be necessary to empty it sooner, depending on the intensity of each period. Before emptying, wash your hands, if possible, with warm water and mild soap. Insert two fingers into the vagina and grasp the tube to remove it, maintaining pressure to prevent blood from flowing through it. Point the tube at the toilet bowl and release pressure on the tube with your fingers, allowing the blood to drain into the toilet until the bowl is empty. Once emptying is complete, raise the tube back to the sealed position, as described above. If necessary, you can clean the tube with tissue before reinserting it into the vagina. Extraction: To fully remove the Eureka Cup, proceed as described in the emptying section, but instead of pulling the tube back up, grasp the base of the cup (not the tube) with two fingers and pull it out. We recommend using the Eureka Cup until you find the easiest and most comfortable way to insert, empty, and remove it. This may vary depending on the individual. Store in a cool, dry place, protected from sunlight. Maintenance and Cleaning: During menstruation, wash the Eureka Cup with warm water and mild soap. Once your period is over, sterilize the Eureka Cup and repeat this procedure just before using it again for your next period.
