This product is a 20MHZ microcontroller custom programmed for a specific vehicle model. It uses a high-speed serial input/output interface to communicate directly with the ECU through the 0BD port. The ECU contains a three-dimensional table of values called a "map". The table tells the fuel injector exactly how much fuel to deliver based on the current air temperature, density, engine speed, throttle position and other variables. When shipped from the factory, this map is a universal map designed to provide a smooth, surprise-free driving experience to suit the needs of a variety of drivers. This product will temporarily replace the components in this map with those in our highly tuned performance map and can safely release the full potential of your engine without voiding the warranty.
