Vibration-Dampening Pry Wrench

Constructed from high-grade steel with a permanently bonded silicone overmould handle, this wrench measures 30 cm in total length and weighs 380 g. The blade width is 4.5 cm, offering substantial surface coverage without compromising manoeuvrability in tight spaces. Material composition prioritises longevity: the steel resists bending or chipping under torque, while the silicone remains flexible and tacky even after prolonged exposure to ambient workshop temperatures. Core functionality centres on controlled separation—whether lifting floorboards, releasing ceramic tiles from adhesive beds, or detaching skirting from masonry walls. The handle’s ergonomic contour supports natural wrist alignment, and its damping properties reduce transmitted shock during hammer-assisted insertion. Force transmission is optimised through the blade’s consistent thickness and smooth leading edge. Designed for UK home renovators and small contractors: compatible with standard DIY hammers and commonly encountered substrates including plasterboard, chipboard, concrete backer board, and timber stud walls. Recommended technique involves rotating the tool slightly while tapping to achieve clean, gap-free entry—maximising contact before applying steady prying force.
